Ana Called Meeting to order at 3:20

No Minutes-last meeting was Carnival review

Treasure Report by Jenny

-Final Carnival Report-made just short of $4000

-Secretary Appreciation gifts will be decided in subcommittee-Leslie present today

-Staff Appreciation, Mr. Asher is working with Becky Randles

-Walmart Recycling Challenge 74 bags= $360

- Vista Report
1400 books received in Marc
Jamie will attend Boise training next week
No VISTA grant next year-not renewed-Jamie will not be at JBE
2 more movie days April/May
April 25 is national turn off tv week

-Scholastic Book Fair ?May 12-16
Instead of AR store kids get certificate for book fair

-Writing Contest-no dates yet but in the works. Ana proposed moving writing contest to 3rd quarter next year to-allow students to read to fellow students

-Will invite Great America Fundraiser to next meeting-May 8

Nominations for 2008-2009 PTU board will be done next meeting

December minutes- Ana Schnepf motioned to approve Becky Randles 2nd-Motion Carried. (January mtg. Cancelled)

Book Fair
Melanie/Jamie training on scanner
Tentative spring date is May 12-15
-Fall Bookfair will not change date to Novemeber-too difficult to fill books. Keep at the open house time. Keep trinkets out all week instead of end of week.


Vista
-3 free books/students= 1488 total books and free shipping
-We have 5 HEART volunteers total

-Thank-you Becky Randles for great teacher appreciation

-Seussational Celebration March 7
Flyers handed out for around town
Becky Randles-raffle items Wii-from realty agency

-We received $750 from Verizon Grant-thanks Jay Russell

-Special Guests from the Superintendent Board on the Supplemental Levy presentation.
