Hi! My name is Patti Gabrick and
I am the school counselor at Spirit Lake Elementary. I grew up in the
great state of Michigan receiving my Bachelors degree at Calvin College.
After years of employment in the education field I decided to go back to
school and pursue the field of counseling. I received my Masters
in Counseling from Idaho State University and was hired directly by
Lakeland School District. I am excited to be in Northern Idaho.
It is a great place for children to learn and grow.
As the school counselor, I provide
individual counseling and facilitate small groups on topics such as
social skills, friendship, divorce, and grief/loss. I also work with the
teachers providing guidance activities in the classroom relating to
making friends and getting along, as well as activities of how to solve
problems peacefully.
I
