bulletAssume students have homework each night instead of leaving it up to them to let you know.
bulletDesignate a homework time and place routine to be followed each evening.
bulletHelp your student with homework concepts, but allow them to do the work.
bulletEncourage students to study for a large test in small chunks, possibly over several days instead of "cramming" it all in at once.
bulletA good way to study vocabulary definitions is to say the definition to the student and have them choose the correct term that matches it.
bulletOutlines and notes are great study tools.
bulletWhen studying from a textbook, use the bold, colored, and highlighted terms for guidelines.  Re-writing these in short outline or note form is a great way to help that information "stick."
