Entry Task

 

This week's entry task will have you working in Microtype for the first 10 minutes of class.  You must complete the following lessons:

 

Numeric Keyboarding Lesson 13 & 14.

Assignments

 

You are going to create a Database.  The table you create should have at least 6 different records.  You need to choose one of the three topics. 

 

1.  CD Collection: 

  1. Create a Database called CD Collection.

  2. Create a Table called Favorites.

  3. Use the following fields:  CD Title, Artist, Cost, Number of Tracks, Date of Purchase, & Other CD's?.  "Other CD" is asking if you have any other CD's from this artist.

  4. Enter the records

  5. Add your name as the last record.

  6. Print the table Landscaped. 

  7. Create a Form called Favorites.

  8. Use all the fields except Number of Tracks.

  9. Print the Form that has your name. Only print one form!

2.  Contact List:

  1. Create a Database called Contact List.

  2. Create a Table called Friends.

  3. Use the following fields:  Name, Address, Phone Number, Date of Birth, Email Address, & Cell Phone?.  "Cell Phone" is asking if this person has a cell phone.

  4. Enter the records

  5. Add your name as the last record.

  6. Print the table Landscaped. 

  7. Create a Form called Friends.

  8. Use all the fields except Address.

  9. Print the Form that has your name. Only print one form!

3.  Assignment Sheet:

  1. Create a Database called Assignment Sheet.

  2. Create a Table called Assignments for (Class Name).

  3. Use the following fields:  Assignment, Assignment Category, Date Assigned, Date Due, Point Value, Points Earned & Completed?.  

  4. Enter the records

  5. Add your name as the last record.

  6. Print the table Landscaped. 

  7. Create a Form called Assignment Sheet.

  8. Use all the fields except Assignment Category.

  9. Print the Form that has your name. Only print one form!
