Promotion Marketing

 

The objectives of Promotion Marketing:

  • (1) Provide Information

    • Inform the public about availability and function of the product.

  • (2) Increase Demand

    • Looking at add a new group of consumers.

  • (3) Differentiating the Product

    • Showing the differences between similar products.

  • (4) Accentuating the Products Value

    • Show the products qualities.

  • (5) Stabilizing Sales

    • Keeping sales stable through out the year.

Types of Promotion:

  • Personal Sales

    • Face-to-Face sales.

  • Non-personal Sales

    • Advertising through the media.

  • Sales Promotion

    • Give-a-ways, coupons, product demonstrations, contest, etc.

  • Public Relations

    • Provide a positive image of the company, not the product.

 

 

Assignments - Assignment List

 

You will be given one of the objectives of promotion and you are to find three examples of that type of promotion.  Please include why you think it falls in that category and if you think it is (or was) effective. Support your answers.

 

Please put your information in MLA report format.  You're strongly encouraged to include samples of the promotion to accompany this report.
