Steps to the Financial Aid Process

  1. Fall of SENIOR year - Take your college entrance exam (ACT/SAT)
  2. By December 1 - parent & student need to apply for their FEDERAL PIN.
  3. January 1 or after - make your FAFSA application (have your Federal PIN handy!)
  4. January 1 or before - apply to your college or university of choice (if you don't apply, the admissions office will not know what to do with your FAFSA application).

Federal Student Aid - This link will assist you in all your federal financial aid needs.  You can register for you PIN, apply for you FAFSA (see description below), and get assistance in every aspect of your career and college decisions.

Remember, your FAFSA will not be recognized by the school of your choice if that school does not have your application for admissions on file.
